When:   Saturday, January 12th  11:00 am-2:00 pm

Classes are 11am-1pm, followed by a potluck/sauerkraut making 1pm-2pm.

Free event, all ages welcome.

We will be raffling off a tumbling composter for just $1 per ticket!

100% of proceeds support a garden program for a school/community in need.

Please Bring:    

❄ Work/Gardening gloves       

❄ Closed-toed shoes        

❄ Water

❄ Pint-sized mason jar (if making sauerkraut)       

❄ Waiver (see below)

❄ Potluck dish to share (please label ingredients)     

Hands-on Classes will include:

• Fruit Tree Pruning

• Natural Soil Amendments / Vermicompost

• Preparing / Planting a Spring Garden

• Greenhouse Construction

• Making Homemade Sauerkraut

  •  If Interested in making your own, please bring a clean, pint-sized mason jar to the event.

• Gardening with Fitness in Mind

• Planting a Garden for the Las Vegas Catholic Worker Mission (Harvest will be donated in March when crops are ready)

• Pickling Demonstration by Leonora Ching “The Pickle Lady”

• Sauerkraut Demonstration by Morris Bedart
